Wow Kids 2011

Wow Kids! meets every Wednesday starting March 16 at 6:00 pm and runs for 6 weeks.  Each evening begins with a meal and a time of fellowship followed by music, a story, and a lesson time.  The evening concludes with a craft and game time.

Wow Kids! is open to all grade school age kids and is free to all.  This is a wonderful opportunity for your children to interact with fellow Christians and learn more about the love of Jesus Christ.

This spring’s theme is The Search for Treasure.  We hope to see you there!

For more information, contact Art Holden at 605-371-3928 or use the contact form here.

The service will include sharing the Sacrament of Holy Communion as Jesus did with the disciples and draping of the cross in black to remember our Savior’s sacrifice in a visual way.  We will also be sharing a Seder meal with Pastor Dave presenting it in a similar fashion as it was served in the Upper Room.

Maundy Thursday service is April 21 at 6:30 p.m.

Starting Tuesday, March 8, Barbara Thomson will be leading a  Bible Study from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the church.  The study book is Women of the Bible:  A One Year Devotional Study of Women in Scripture by Ann Spangler and Jean Syswerda.

If you are interested or have questions, contact Barbara at 336-835, or come to the meeting Tuesday evenings.

You are invited to join Pastor Dave every Tuesday morning at 9:30 a.m.

This is an opportunity to explore the various books of the bible together – perhaps more in-depth than you have before.

You do not need to be a member of Wild Flower to attend, and it is not necessary to have studied the Bible before.  This is a casual and fun opportunity to grow in you faith and knowledge of God’s word.

Our children’s Christmas program was a bunch of good fun.  This year the kids from WoW performed Santa Gives Back Christmas, a fun play where Santa, the elves and the reindeer tell the story of the Birth of Jesus.

We’ve posted the photos on our Facebook page, you can view them here.

Wild Flower Church has a variety of activities and worship services planned for the Holy Week.

Join us at 7:00pm Thursday evening for Maundy Thursday services.

Saturday at 11:00am we will have a special kids service followed by our annual Easter Egg Hunt.  All children are invited to attend and be sure to bring friends as there is a whole bunch of candy waiting to be found.

Easter Sunday starts out a 7:00am with a traditional Easter worship service.  At 8:00am we will have a delicious breakfast served by our wonderful deacons.  At 9:30 we will have a contemporary Easter worship service.  We hope that you will be able to join with us during this special Easter week.

Hey kids, it’s time for WOW Kids! to start again.

We’ll start meeting every Wednesday night at 6:00pm to 7:30pm starting on February 24th and going until Easter.  This year’s theme is Searching for Clues for a New Life with Jesus.

Each evening will start with a light meal, followed by a childrens worship and story time.  The evening will conclude with a craft and game time.  This is a fun time for children in pre-school to grade 5.

All children are welcome and the event is free to the public.

Let’s Celebrate a New Life in Jesus!

Taste of Italy

The 4th Annual Taste of Italy Dinner Theater and Talent Show will be on Saturday February 21st at 6:00pm.  Come for an excellent 3 course Italian meal.  Enjoy entertainment from the Wild Flower Players, along with a performing dance group and piano solos from Braden Madison and Megan Holden.

It’s sure to be a great evening for the entire family.  The proceeds from this year’s meal will be going to the rising cost of snow removal.

Mama Mia! That’s a great meal!
